Meet the Owner

Hi, I'm Blake.

I've been in payments for over ten years, and in IT for more than 25. I run Diverse IT Solutions alongside Azimuth Payments, and the two businesses sit naturally next to each other. One handles the infrastructure. The other handles the payments that run on top of it.

I split my time between Niagara and the South Bruce Peninsula. Niagara has the energy and the tourism buzz I love being part of. The Bruce has the lake, the quiet, and the kind of evenings you don't get anywhere else. I'm lucky to call both home.

Why I started Azimuth

Honestly, this business came out of frustration on behalf of my clients.

In my IT work, I deal with vendors all the time. For the hotels, that means property management system vendors, which all integrate with credit card processors. For the restaurants, it's point-of-sale systems doing the same thing. Payments are tightly woven into the technology side, so I see the contracts. I see the statements.

And what I kept seeing, over and over, was small businesses paying way too much in credit card fees. Not by a few dollars. By real money. Money that should have stayed in their pocket.

After enough of that, starting Azimuth Payments just made sense. I already understood the technology. I already had the relationships. The missing piece was a payments business that actually looked out for the merchant.

What I'm like to work with

I'm an entrepreneur at heart. I like starting things, building things, and figuring out how to make them run better. When I'm not working, you'll find me renovating something around the house, out hiking, or on the water in a kayak.

I mention all that because the way I run a business is the way I do everything else: hands-on, in person when it matters, and with a real interest in getting it right. If you become a client, you're going to deal with me, not a call centre and not a stranger reading from a script.
